Calico House is a 5 bedroom luxury respite care service for adults aged 18+ with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex care needs.
The goal of short stay respite care is not only a rest for the individual and their carers, but also a renewal and refocusing of purpose. Respite care can provide a much needed reinvigoration of their independence.
Our guests are welcomed into Calico House and encouraged to participate in our daily program of activities and community, building their confidence and empowering their sense of self.
A respite stay at Calico House is more than just time out for the individual and their carers. It's a short break in our luxurious care service with beautifully appointed bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms and mature gardens. Our highly trained and experienced staff combine professionalism with genuine empathy, kindness and patience. The individuality, privacy and dignity of our guests is of paramount importance to the entire team. We believe that all guests should receive the highest standards of care and comfort.
Guided by an individualised care plan, which is established in conjunction with the client and family upon admission, our highly trained and experienced team will ensure that tailored, person focused nursing and respite care is sensitively delivered at all times.
